About Tony Ryan

Here’s a brief scene on me:

* Was a teacher for 12 years

* Worked in a variety of other positions in education (eg a consultant in gifted and talented education with Education Queensland)

* Have been working in my own consultancy for about 16 years

* Love my work!!

* Travel to lots of magic places (China, US, Canada, Mexico, New Zealand, Japan, South America, heaps of Aussie in the past 12 months)

* Written a fair bit of stuff (lots of free gear at www.tonyryan.com.au)

And here’s a more detailed scene:

My main work is to support teachers with two critical issues:

1. Quality classroom practice; and

2. Personal resilience and coping capacity.

Around 80% of my work focuses on what I call my teacher-in-residence work ie everyday teaching, in everyday classrooms. If you’re interested, please feel free to peruse some of my support outlines.

    Thanks for provoking thought during the North Coast Region Quality Teaching conference these last 2 days.

    I liked the hard edged and pertinent messages you used on more than one occasion.

    We need to change the way we do learning and you certainly gave me food for thought.
    GOIMO indeed. Love it.
